As previously announced in our news of May, Altraplan sponsored for the second time in a row, a sailing event in Denmark. Altraplan was the proud official sponsor at the TORM Junior Grand Prix, ALTRAPLAN Cup 2010, organised by the Royal Danish Yacht Club.

Just like last year, the event became a best-seller or can we say “best-sailer”?
About 300 children participated to the race, which took place during the weekend of the 5th and 6th June 2010 at Rungsted harbour north of Copenhagen. The young competitor’s family and friends, Altraplan’s clients and business partners and many other sailing fans attended the event. Altraplan’s guests even had the opportunity to watch the contest live on the ocean in a boat or in the VIP lounge where a big screen allowed the visitors to not miss a minute of the sailing event.
Under a clear sky and bright sun the children spent 10 hours each day at sea. And even if our congratulations go to the winners, the event did not have losers, because already by participating, all youngsters delivered an excellent performance and experienced an unforgettable weekend.
Witnesses were the numerously taken pictures, newspapers articles and the reportage broadcast by the Danish television channel TV2 (national Danish television) during the evening’ news.

Also the mayor of Rungsted attended the event and thanked Altraplan for its sponsorship during his final speech. We would like to likewise express thanks to all the people who visited or contributed to this sailing weekend and made it success event to repeat.
